Hi all!

I've been busy coloring and carving new blocks here! Wanted to touch base and let everyone know I'm still moving forward and haven't forgotten about all you lovely folks.

Now that I have a better idea about how the process of making a tarot deck works for me, I also have a better idea about when I'll have all images carved, printed, colored, and edited for production. I think realistically I will have everything ready in about 6 months, which means cards would be at my door to ship to you within a month of printing. My estimation for shipping to you at this time would be mid-April. I hate pushing back the date, but I want to give you all the best possible deck I can make! As I'm sure you can guess, working on this subject is actually pretty emotionally exhausting, and I've had to take short breaks to keep the juices flowing.

Also I broke off half my tooth a week ago, and that has been just awful and distracting. I'm getting it fixed tomorrow. Yay! Of course I asked for and horded the mold from when they made the half-crown that broke off, so I'll share it with you because it's cool ;)

Anyways, here's a look at the colored minors I've completed:

I've also got 6 new blocks carved and a 7th which should completed by tomorrow (2 of Horns, 6 of Horns, 3 of Feathers, 10 of Feathers, 5 of Arrows, 6 of Arrows, and 7 of Arrows). I'm planning on hitting up the print shop either this week or next, so be on the lookout for some new uncolored images soon!

THANK YOU to everyone for being patient, supportive, and overall just super awesome and kind. This project is MASSIVE and has been an interesting emotional rollercoaster for me! If anyone was banking on having their deck in their hands to give to someone for the holidays and is super disappointed, please comment below. I'm considering making a card with images from the deck and an "IOU" or "coming soon" message as a placeholder. Trust me, I REALLY wanted to have this ready for the holidays, but I more want everything to be perfect and not rushed.

A first look at the Minor Arcana

I've printed and scanned the first few Minor Arcana cards, and I'm thrilled to show them to you!

Horns (Cups)

Father of Horns (white-tailed deer, American alligator)

8 of Horns (wandering glider, horsetails, barn owl)

Arrows (Swords)

Feathers (Wands)

Father of Feathers (red-tailed hawk, greater short-horned lizard)

2 of Feathers (coyote, greater roadrunners)

4 of Feathers (blacktailed prairie dogs, prairie falcon feathers)

6 of Feathers (Cooper's hawk, prairie rattlesnake)

9 of Feathers (Costa hummingbirds, saguaro cactus)

Roots (Pentacles)

2 of Roots (red fox, eastern cottontail rabbits, mimosa trees)

I've also re-worked the card backs.

As you can see, I am not neglecting the rich stories that the Minor Arcana tell! Thank you everyone for your continued support. It really keeps me excited about carvin' some blocks!

I've returned to Denver after a long drive across the country and wanted to post some good images of the prints I've finished coloring. I still have a big stack of them left to do, and I'll be posting another update soon once more are completed. Enjoy!
